Faith

week 9 - TEEN CHALLENGE

FAITH (as defined by the Webster’s 1828 dictionary) – is a firm, cordial belief in the veracity of God, in all the declarations of his word; or a full and affectionate confidence in the certainty of those things which God has declared, and because he has declared them.

Our teens FAITH is the key to their salvation.  That’s the one thing that guarantees I’m going to see them again in Heaven!  That’s worth praying for!

FAITH is talked about a TON of times in the Bible and after looking at lots of scriptures, here’s a definition I came up with help us walk this praying journey with our teens:

Faith is a GIFT

to be GROWN

by EXERCISING it

through OVERCOMING DOUBT

and having CONFIDENCE

in his existence as FACT

despite not SEEING Him.

This is not the end of digging through scriptures to pray though.  HARDLY!  This is just to get you jump started and get the train out of the station.  There are SO many more side quests in the Tommy Bible than even what I have in this article so grab your supplies and let’s get to work!
